Race For Hunger

Windsor Auto Sales hosted several "Racing for Hunger" events to support the Rock River Valley Pantry. The Windsor Auto race team will be collecting non-perishable cans of food.

Proceeds from all the events will benefit the RRV Pantry, August 15th, 2023, at Rockford Speedway for "Nick's Beatin' & Bangin" Boat Race presented by Windsor Auto Sales.

Windsor Auto Sales is hosting its annual “Racing for Hunger” events to support the Rock River Valley Pantry.

A check will be presented to the Rock River Valley Pantry on the Speedway finish line prior to the boat race.

This is the 15th year Windsor Auto Sales has hosted “Race for Hunger” events and to date has contributed over $134,000 to the Food Pantry.

Windsor Auto Sales continues to give back to the community in many ways and this summer has selected the Rock River Valley Pantry to benefit from all of their efforts. The local car dealer is hosting a series of fund raisers with all of the proceeds going to fight hunger in our community.

Windsor Auto Sales 2023 RACE FOR HUNGER AT SPEEDWAY.

(Loves Park, Illinois, July 1st, 2023) Windsor Auto Sales in Loves Park is hosting its 14th annual “Race for Hunger” events this summer to support the Rock River Valley Pantry. At the final event Saturday July 15th 2023, at the Rockford Speedway, Nick Shutkas owner of Windsor Auto Sales, presented a check to the RRVP. Shutkas said: “This is our fourteenth year sponsoring events for the Rock River Valley Pantry. Since 2010 Race for Hunger events have produced over $134,000. People are very generous, and we have met so many nice people this summer. The RRVP is an outstanding organization. Ninety-seven percent of all of the money we have raised goes directly to buying food for people who need help now.”

The Rock River Valley Pantry serves over 900,000 thousand pounds of food to the people in Rockford last year. Kim Adams-Bakke, Executive Director of the RRVP said: “The Pantry is providing to over 2600 people a month, and 28% of our clients are children. For the last fifteen years Windsor Auto Sales has been a large contributor to helping families and children with urgent food needs in the Rock River Valley.
